Boarding
Coal Ridge Animal Hospital was designed from the ground up with your pet's comfort in mind. With heated floors and spacious play areas for both dogs and cats, and a 40' x 20' wading pond/pool, your pet will enjoy the comfort and care you expect during their stay with us.
Dog Boarding
We have spacious comfortable accommodations for all our canine guests.
Our indoor runs are 4 feet by 6 feet and our outdoor runs are 4 feet by 10 feet.
We have 32 indoor/outdoor runs and 57 indoor dog runs (42 with windows).
Our floors are heated so your canine companion will stay warm even on the coldest days.
All the runs have a raised platform bed.
Food and water bowls are secured in the kennel door off the floor.
Outside yard: Our outside exercise yard covers half an acre. It is enclosed with an 8 foot high concrete wall to ensure that we do not have any jumpers leaving the yard. We have 24 separate exercise pens and a large central area for room to run. Dogs in the indoor/outdoor runs are taken out 2 times daily and dogs in the indoor only runs are taken out 3 times daily.
Cat Boarding
Our feline guests each have their own room with a view away from our noisier canine friends. We have a separate kitty playroom complete with a carpeted cat tree and a great view.
About Our Pool
Our 40' x 20' pool is designed and built specifically with your dog in mind. Little waders especially enjoy the pool's putter edge, measuring a cool 3" depth, while more adventurous swimmers will spend most of their time further out in the 22" deep water. Gently sloping sides and easily accessible walk outs encourage even the shyest of bathers to explore their wet 'n wild side!
Play Time/Daycare
Our canine companions depend on us for mental and physical stimulation. Boredom and inactivity can cause your pet to be overweight and may even lead to destructive behaviors. Out playground and wading pool provide a stimulating atmosphere for your pet;s activity needs. Our staff supervises these play times and encourages the development of your pet;s physical agility, mental development and social skills.
Play time is also a great way to alleviate stress. Participants of our play time are known to sleep better at night, have less anxiety, and increased appetite and rest more quietly during the day.
For the safety of all, no intact animals over 6 months of age or rough-houser's are allowed in the group play time. For anyone who would prefer a more personal touch, leash walks and private playtime are also available at an additional fee.

We offer a 10% discount for additional pets sharing the same run (discount is applied to the smaller pet).

We require a $50 'run' deposit for Thankgiving (due 10/15) and Christmas (due 11/15). This deposit is non refundable unless the run is used by another customer.
Vaccinations
We require all boarders to be current on the following vaccines
(provided through our hospital if needed):
Dogs: DHPP* (canine distemper combination), rabies and bordetella
Cats: FVRCP* (feline distemper combination) and rabies
*requires a Wellness Exam

Amenities We provide Eukanuba Low Residue (a diet that is easily digestible), Iams Cat Food and Iams dog biscuits for our guests. Owners are welcome to bring their pet’s own food and treats at no additional charge. Owners may also bring blankets and toys from home. No midsize to large bedding please. We offer a complimentary kennel bath to all our canine guests. Grooming is available for an additional fee. Other additional amenities that are available include medication dispensing, extra walks (3 per day) and a 2 hour playtime Monday through Friday.
